Propyl acetate, also known as n-propyl acetate, belongs to ester compounds, which can be used as food flavors, cosmetic flavors; can also be used for spray paint, plastic and organic synthesis, etc. It is used as elastic printing ink and gravure printing ink; it is also used as a solvent for natural resins and artificial resins such as nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber and heat-reactive phenolic plastics; it can also be used as a qualitative and quantitative standard substance in gas chromatography.
Preparation of solid superacid catalysts.
A solid superacid is an acid stronger than 100% sulfuric acid, ie an acid with H0<-1194. Compared with liquid superacids, solid superacids have the advantages of easy separation from products, non-corrosiveness, little harm to the environment, and reusability. The solid superacid shows very high catalytic activity for the synthesis of ester, and has the advantages of not being afraid of water, high temperature resistance, convenient preparation, reducing three-waste pollution, and simplifying product separation procedures. The catalytic synthesis of propyl acetate with solid acid Al2O3/SO2 -4 has achieved good results. The results show that when the amount of acetic acid is 0.1 mol, propanol is 0.2 mol, the catalyst is 1.5 g, and the reaction time is 1.5 h, the yield is about 81.7 %, and good repeatability. But recently, it has been found that if some metal ions are added in the preparation process of solid superacid, its catalytic performance can be improved.
Therefore, further exploration is needed for the synthesis of solid superacid-catalyzed propyl acetate.
